MBT Walk - I love the shoe. It really did not take any time getting use to the shoe. It never hurt my toes either (as others have said). When I am wearing the shoe my posture is so much better, without even trying.
WORTH EVERY PENNY!! What you read is true!!! I have suffered with severe plantar fasciitis for almost 2 years now. I have undergone 3 cortisone shots in both feet, two sets of custom orthotics, walking cast, night splints, and 2 bouts of physical therapy. NOTHING worked. Thousands of $$ down the drain!! I have been wearing my MBT’s for several days and I can already tell a difference- no pain!! I was unable to be on my feet for very long and now I can go about my day normally. The MBT Walk model ran about the right size for me- I tried on 4 other MBT models and this one fit me the best- also this model didn’t look as offensive to me as some of the others. I wear between a 9 and 9.5 and I got the 9.5 and it fits perfectly. If you are in between sizes I would order a size up. My heel didn’t slip out of this model like it did in the MBT Sport Low. As for the appearance, well, I would consider myself a shoe snob. I used to wear 3 inch heels daily - whatever is the latest fashion. When I developed severe foot pain I stopped wearing anything but sneakers. Needless to say, I got over appearance very quickly!!! Buy these shoes if you are looking to cure your pains. No style is worth that misery!!
MBT M walk - I love these shoes. I had to exchange for a 1/2 size larger and now I even wish I went a whole size larger. But I can walk forever in these. Some people think they look weird, like I’m wearing shoes for special needs persons, but I think they are so cute.
MBT first purchase - I think they are over priced. I can’t tell they do anything at all, but the shoes still do not fit right. I’m not happy with them. I ordered the shoe size I have in other shoes, and sent them back and got bigger ones. They slide up and down on my heel because they are too big in the heel and still they crunch my toes. I think the shoe runs too short for the size. I wear a 9 in regular shoes, ordered 9 1/2 and sent them back and reordered the size 10 that I am now trying to wear. I wish I had a pair that fit…I am not happy at all. I would send them back, but I wore them on the street walking…Who would think a 10 would be too small???
The shoe that makes you work - The MBTs work as expected– it makes me work a lot harder to keep upright and I need that since my posture is atrocious. I highly recommend this shoe to people like me– lazy. This shoe is really not for people with extreme back problems or other posture ailments. This shoe is also VERY expensive. I have not had the shoe long enough to say whether is was worth the money.
This is my second pair of MBT’s. I wear them for long walks on pavement. Since wearing these shoes, my back and knee pain has greatly diminished. The comfort level is excellent, especially on the downhill portions of the walk.
Wonderfully comfortable - My new MBT shoes make me feel like I have a comfy bounce with every step. I wear them 5 days a week for 8-10 hour days at a hospital and my feet feel wonderful. I have recommended them to all my friends and coworkers. I am forever going to be wearing MBT for work.
This shoe is not only comfortable, but easy to walk in too. Does work out different muscles in your legs due to the design. Wear mine for walking, the grocery store and errands. Helps with back and neck pain as well. Highly recommend.
Great ugly shoe. I love this shoe. It’s just not very attractive, especially on big feet. I have noticed an overall toning from waist down, especially in my lower legs. My calves are frequently tight and mildly sore. I started a walking routine when I got the shoe (I fell down in the middle of the street when I tried to run) and now I’m addicted. The shoe does run small. I usually take a 9.5 in a regular shoe or 10 in athletic shoe. I got a 10.5 in this one and it fits perfectly. I will buy more.
Just ok… Well, as much as I wanted to love these shoes, I’m just not feeling it (literally)! I can’t see any difference as far as toning and shaping, but maybe my back hurts a little less after a long day on my feet. I didn’t have any problems “breaking them in” and they were pretty comfortable right from the start. I probably would not purchase this shoe again.
Phenomenal sneakers - These sneakers are wonderful! I wear them each day for workouts and long walks with my dog. They continually work every muscle in the leg, but I never feel fatigued. I have extremely high arches that have caused me problems in the past, so I removed the insole that came with the MBT shoe and added instead an Ultra High Arch Support made by New Balance and that did the trick for me. My entire foot feels secure and totally supported. I work in a very high energy interactive dinner theatre show where I’m in very high heels and dancing for hours each night. I’m SO glad that I’ve got these shoes to wear during the day. They’ve helped build up my endurance! I also have the sandal MBT’s in all colors. I love them THAT much. One suggestion: Your legs will get a workout, so make sure you stretch out after wearing these shoes or you’ll end up really sore…especially in the calves.
Fantastic - I love these shoes. I had been contemplating buying these shoes for about 6 months, and finally took the dive…and I’m glad that I did. Within the first few hours of wearing them my calves and thighs were aching! I walk a lot at work and they are absolutely amazing.
Life Changing - These shoes are amazing. My lower back pain has disappeared. I can definitely feel a difference when I am not wearing them. My shoulders are erect and my posture is perfect when I wear these shoes. I’ll definitely get a pair of sandals (also ugly, but who cares?) for the summer. I wear them all day; I’m up and down a lot. By the end of the day my legs are tired, I know I am giving them a great work out! I only regret not getting them sooner, I took so long because they are so ugly…but they are life changing! Go for it!
Barb in Bowling Green, KY - These shoes are amazing. I have plantar fasciitis (heel pain) and could only walk as necessary for daily routines. Now I’m back on my street walking 2-3 miles with no pain. They are so comfortable and I wear them all the time unless I dress up. It took me several days to get used to them. At first they felt clunky and heavy and I was unbalanced feeling but that soon passed as I became used to them. I just bought sandals for the summer. Just wish they were prettier!
Miracle shoes - I have an old ankle injury that over the years has completely diminished any flexibility in that ankle and made it very painful and difficult to walk. I also have arthritis in my knees. This all causes pain to my lower back. I was visiting my sister in Texas last year and she pointed out these shoes to me in a local shoe store and suggested I try them on. It took a few minutes to get adjusted to them but the minute I put them on and walked around the store I was relieved of all pain in my joints. I love shoes -I have over 50 pair, but since last October the only shoes that I wear are the MBT Sport Low. I just came back from a vacation in Europe which would have been impossible to do all the walking without these shoes. I have tried other shoes, sneakers and orthodics and these shoes are the only ones that allow me to walk without limping or pain. I highly recommend these to anyone with joint or foot problems.
Lived up to all the glowing recommendations-a truly great walking shoe - I find myself standing straight and working muscles without joint strain. Clunky appearance but in the white just looks like a man’s tennis shoe. I am usually a 9 but on advice of a friend ordered 9 1/2 which fit very comfortably/not too loose. (Perhaps the 9 would have fit fine too but I’ll never know because I can’t part with these- they are great!) , MBT MWalk Shoe for Men’s by Swiss Masai
Great shoes - I really enjoy walking in these shoes as they are constantly giving me a workout. My legs are often so tired after a day’s wear, which is great! The look leaves a lot to be desired, but if you wear long pants, you can hide most of the bulk.
First time buyer - I love it! I have three herniated disks, two bone spurs and a stress fracture. This shoe really seems to be helping! I got tired at first and a little sore in weird places, but after a week I was fine.
Too soon to tell about MBT - Following a herniated disc, I did physical therapy, which helped a great deal. Now I’m doing Pilates and trying out a pair of MBT’s for added spinal alignment. So far I can’t tell if they make a difference beyond the PT and Pilates. They do work some underused muscles, so that can’t be bad. Time will tell. I’m going to try a pair of Earth shoes for comparison.
