Keeps me walking - I’m training for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Charlotte in Oct. These shoes have worked out great in the 3 weeks that I’ve had them. Since I’m walking long distances without socks, the first week I got some rubbed places on the side of my foot. That problem has abated, and on Saturday I walked 10 miles in them with no discomfort at all. I wear them whenever possible.

Comfy - Have several MBT sneakers and thought I would try these sandals. Frankly, I think they are a bit more comfortable than the sneakers because of some extra padding built in to the sides and the airiness. Have been wearing them non-stop for the last few weeks because of the warmer weather and they have done well by me. My only tiny negative is that, as expected, the foot area has a somewhat dirty imprint of my foot and toes which likely shows up more in this color than in the black. Still happy with my purchase nevertheless.

OMG!!! These sandals are AMAZING!!!!! I want to give these 10 stars, 5 just doesn’t seem adequate. I’ve had the MBT sport shoe in grey for about four years, they have held up great but I wanted to try a sandal for summer. They aren’t exactly stylish but I do think they are much more attractive than the sport shoe. The brown is a very neutral camel color so they blend in with my foot very nicely. I ordered my normal size and the fit is PERFECT.

The most comfortable shoes I own and I buy for comfort. I wear these every day, dorky looking, yes but I stand straighter with these shoes and am actually feeling much less lower back pain when I wear MBT’s exclusively. (I also have the sassy red tennie version.) I am so happy I have these shoes!!!! Too bad the designs are a bit…oh, shall I say unflattering?

Very comfy, excellent for my herniated disc! This is my second pair of MBT’s, have a pair of sneakers from before, these are more comfortable than the sneakers, all straps highly adjustable and cushioned. Once you learn the MBT walk, they are fantastic and help with back problems. They look ugly, clunky and manly, but then again you wear them for health, not beauty, the MBT Kisumu Shoes by Swiss Masai.

Love these shoes! These MBT sandals are great. I no longer have any foot pain since I’ve been wearing them. So comfortable. I highly recommend these for walkers. I wear them to work too! Definitely worth the price. (They run small, so I had to order one size larger than usual.)

Old fat lady with bad feet - If only these Kisumu shoes weren’t so UGLY!! But, I get over that when I wear them. I did Disney all day and into the night and my feet did not hurt. My problem is that my pain is under my third toe in the ball of my foot. This shoe puts the weight on the arch and on the heel so there was no pressure on the sore spots. Now, don’t get me wrong, I was tired after all day walking but my feet were not sore. I will buy another pair someday but I wish they weren’t so ugly!!

Love these shoes - Have been wearing this shoe over a year and love this brand. Don’t have varicose vein pain anymore. In Europe I rolled along while everyone else complained of foot pain or blisters. Great brand, I now own five pairs. Kisumu Sandals

Since I am a therapist, busy mom with misc. other duties that keep me on my feet, these shoes are marvelous! By the end of a day, no matter how much I have done, nothing hurts. I hate to take them off. The technology and research behind these shoes truly have created “Physiological Footwear. Many of my patients have purchased these and I loan informational DVD out to others. Since I have been wearing Earth Shoes with the negative heel, the adjustment to MBT’s wasn’t difficult. It is a bonus that the sandals are cute and help my size 11 foot appear much smaller. Let me know when there are sales. Thanks Zappos for great service.

Oh my - These are not the most stylish of shoes, from the shoe queen, but the most comfortable. I love these and wish I could have more in other more wearable work styles. I love the way my back feels and plan to walk nightly. They may be pricey, but how many shoes do we have in the back of the closet that never get worn. If you add it up…I wore them the first time and had a stranger ask me how I liked them. A fellow nurse who was a fan.

MBT review - I like the sandals better than the tennis shoes. You can spread your toes and feel a little taller too. This is my third pair of MBT’s and I stand 8 hours a day and they feel good. If they would offer a little arch support I would be in absolute heaven.

My back doesn’t hurt anymore. This is a great shoe. I have various foot problems and I work 10 hour days on my feet. I used to leave the house looking normal in the morning and come home 11 hours later looking like a 90 year old crippled person (I’m 54). My back hurt so bad, I couldn’t stand up straight. Since wearing these sandals my back feels great and I still have energy to go for a walk after work. My only wish is that the company would make MBT’s in a C or D width. The sandal is adjustable so it is fine, but I would love to buy the closed athletic shoe. I have a bad ankle and bunions on both feet, since it only comes in one width I have to wear an ankle brace with my sandal on bad days. If it came in wide it would be perfect, and I could buy the other style MBT’s.

Very comfortable and great for a bad back! This shoe runs true to size and width, contrary to my MBT sneakers which ran a little small. Straps are well padded, no chafing at all, and the straps are infinitely adjustable; make sure you adjust your heel straps loose enough so your heel goes all the way back for the correct rolling motion. This sandal is not pretty to look at, but in brown it is relatively inoffensive. My teenage daughter WILL be seen in my company while I wear them… You can’t beat MBT for comfort and to relax your back. They make you stand up straight and your chest opens up for deep breathing. It takes some practice to get the gait right. Please follow tips in manual and/or the DVD.

Helped me go shoeless - My left knee pain keeps me from walking my 2 mile trail on ASICS which used to help but no more. The MBT sandal makes you roll your foot and stabilizes the knee. The references to Masai barefoot gave me the idea to walk the trail barefoot. The trail is dirt and gravel and it took me several weeks before I could go around 2 miles. I had to stop during the Texas winter but I’m back at it. I still like the MBT’s for walking elsewhere except for the lining. It’s a rough coarse fabric which stinks before days end. I scrub the inside with water and a laundry brush but still a problem. I have Teva sandals with leather lining I have never washed. Ditto with worn out Birkenstock sandals. Ignore foot stink and the MBT’s do relieve my knees and exercise the legs.

Ugly, expensive Kisumu Sandals, shoes! Very, very comfortable. I had worn the high MBT’s all winter and wanted a sandal for summer. I really like them, but you would think for the price that they could make them cuter! Weird sizing. I didn’t even know that they made a 38 1/3.

Finally! Sandals without orthotics or foot pain - I recently purchased the MBT sandal after I bought the MBT walking shoe. For years I have looked for a casual sandal that I could wear that would either accommodate my orthotic OR not make my feet hurt because of Plantar Fasciitis and while I have had surgery on one foot, I still require the use of orthotics. The sandals did require a bit of getting used to and I noticed a definite improvement in my posture and stride. I highly recommend them. The sandals, unlike the walkers seemed true to size, the arch support was good and I have worn them with jeans and with slacks to work. Zappos is great to work with and their customer service is second to none!

Best walking shoes ever - I bought a pair of MBT sandals two weeks before going to London and I have to say, they saved my trip. I flinched at the price, to be honest, and almost didn’t buy them. But after having them on for 15 minutes, walking around in the house, I could feel a difference immediately. Here’s the deal - I’m over 50, overweight, not used to walking - and for the last week in London, I walked 6-8 hours a day, miles at a time, up and down twisty staircases in the Tower - and more. I half jogged through the airport getting off the plane back home again. NO sore feet; NO blisters. Yes to a bouncy, easy walk. They are not the cutest shoes, but they definitely are the best. Buy a pair - now - your feet will thank you.

Love this shoe - I have several pairs of Birkenstocks and swore I could never like any sandal more but I think I have a new favorite. They took a little getting use to but other than that have been wonderful. A word of caution on sizing, all my Birk’s are 38 but I needed a 40 in these. (I usually wear an 8.5 in running shoes.) I still love my Birk’s but these are great for something different.

Great shoe - After having bought the tennis shoe - I knew I had to have a pair of the sandals!!!! My heel spur is not hurting which is helping my hip on the opposite side to quit hurting. I have recommended to my chiro that he start prescribing these shoes to all his patients!!! - They’re GREAT

MBT Kisumu - I recently ordered the MBT Kisumu in brown. I was very pleased with how comfortable these shoes feel on my feet. I have heel spurs and lots of heel pain but these shoes help alleviate the pain. I was also very pleased with Zappos, I had to send the shoes back twice before I got the right fit and they were very accommodating! Thanks! MB

Great shoe for troubled feet! My podiatrist recommended this brand and I was reluctant to get an orthopedic shoe. This sandal is good looking and comfortable all day on hard concrete PLUS I stand straighter and feel less tired after wearing these. The best!
