  1. Gail Says:

Well worth the price - Great for my low back. I had heard from my chiropractor that several of his sciatic problem patients were using these shoes with good success. When I looked them up, I balked at the price. I decided to try them in spite of the cost, and I’m glad I did. I don’t use them to workout in. I find it’s too easy to fall off the stair climber with them on, but I do wear them to work and on errands. Not too thrilled about the look, but they are very comfortable and fun to wear. I think they could be best described as “bouncy”. I initially found them very unstable, but I can now wear them several days in a row without having any problems. These shoes have a narrow heel and a wide toe box. It’s great for my toes which have spread from a regular yoga practice. The shoes also seem to be helping my sciatic pain problem. I’ve also noticed that my core seems to be tighter. Regular use of these shoes seems to be positively affecting both my yoga practice and rock climbing. So far, I’ve owned the shoes for 6 months. They seem to be in fairly good condition, although I have been noticing some wear and tear around the foam part of the sole towards the heel. Overall, I am very pleased with this shoe. Kilima Shoes

MBT Kilima Mens Sport Shoes - I just love these shoes. I truly cannot say enough about them. I have had foot and ankle problems which have caused me great pain on an off for the better part of my adult life. The most recent incident started in March of 2006 and lasted until January of 2007. Thanks to some excellent massage therapy and my purchase of the MBT Sport, that pain is all but gone. And ladies, you will love what these shoes do for your legs and all-over body weight. It’s like exercising 24/7 when you are wearing them.

  3. Jennifer Says:

Sooo comfortable! If you are looking for comfort, these are your shoes! Although they are not great for wearing with dress clothes at work, I still want to wear them! I had a car accident several years ago and these are the best shoes I have had yet!

  4. Boulder City Says:

Great shoes - I wear them everyday, I walk about 2-3 miles in the morning and about the same in the evening, and my feet don’t seem as tired as they would in regular shoes. I feel that I get an all over workout on my legs with just my daily walks and hikes.

  5. Seattle Says:

Rival to Dansko’s - I am on my feet all day, and my Dansko’s were digging into the side of one foot. I tried buying a new pair to no avail (narrow heel, wide flat feet!). I tried the MBT Kilima Boots, it took about a week or so to find my balance, the whole concept is instability, so that you put your stabilizing muscles to work. They are so much fun to walk in, it motivates me to move! My toes never hurt anymore due to the negative heel. I can’t wait to buy another pair. I really only want to wear these day after day. They are worth the money. I told myself I was about to buy 2 pairs of Dansko’s because of the pain I was living with, so why not one great pair? Now we just need to find out how long they last.

  6. Heather Says:

MBT Grey - So far So good. Definitely follow the instructions on time of wear. Hurt the balls of my feet at first but better now. Like the grey - blends well w/ most clothing. I will keep wearing!

  7. Sasikes Says:

Love this shoe! I had wanted this shoe since I first heard of them 2 years ago when they were about $300. I read many reviews and articles; looked at many shoe web sites; went to a store and tried a pair on for sizing- got conflicting info from them; a friend got hers from Zappos and was pleased. I tried hers on and they fit perfect. (Most shoes I get a size larger to accommodate my toes but found this was not necessary with these shoes. My toes have plenty of room because the weight is distributed different than in other shoes.) I ordered and they came the next day. I have some early back problems so I took the shoes with me to my chiropractor appointment to be checked and was told they fit fine; my posture was great etc. I started practicing walking in regular shoes the week before I ordered them. Standing up straight, walking with my feet under me; strides small- engaging leg, hip, and abdominal muscles while walking. Once I got them and watched the video, the first day I wore them an hour. Next day the same. Third day I went to my exercise class and wore them. No sore muscles. I wear them to work now; am on my feet most of the day. Some days I don’t wear them- just to make my body comfortable with change and keep muscles alert. I am very Happy with them, especially when I discovered they can be resoled by resoleamerica when the soles wear out. I like the fact that these also help me with balance- to keep my ankles strong. Something I have to consider as I get older. I’m in my 50s. Arch support is not really an issue in this shoe. I usually am concerned about that in other kinds of shoes. I would love to also have a pairs of the sandals–tried those on also but they do seem to run a half size small. Zappos is great. Very satisfied customer.

  8. Modesto Says:

I’ve had a lot of foot pain, plus a sprain early in January. I’ve also punished my feet with cute shoes, and I’m paying the price now! Anyway, when my beloved New Balance trainers stopped providing the comfort I needed, I ordered three pairs of shoes from Zappos: a NB walker, Mephisto trainer and the MBT Sport Low (grey). I kept only the MBT Kilima Shoes, Men’s–the others couldn’t come close to the comfort. Fit: true to size, and even though they don’t come in widths, roomy toe box. Lacing is minimal which limits fitting to an individual foot–they seem to loosen, too, as you wear them throughout the day. Look: they look goofy with anything but “active wear” but I’m ready to sacrifice looks for pain-free walking. I even contacted the maker with suggestions to make the shoe a bit more versatile.

  9. Beth Says:

Comfy, but very expensive for work-out shoes. I succumbed to the hype on this shoe and decided to try it. The heel is lifted at the rear and makes the shoes feel unsteady on your feet. I guess this is supposed to make you use different muscles in order to keep your balance, but wearing these shoes during an aerobic workout can be a bit of a scary experience. They also don’t provide any arch support and with my weak ankles, I tend to pronate in them. I’m not going to return them, but I won’t buy them again.

  10. Karen Says:

Workout by just walking! I do a pretty intense hill walk daily. It had actually gotten pretty easy … until I added this shoe into the mix. I had absolutely no problem adjusting to these shoes … there is not that much difference in sole height. You will find that you walk with a more rolling gait and that all of the muscles in your legs get a bit more of a stretch as you go about your normal walking routine. And that hill I climb, well lets just say I could feel it in my hamstrings a bit! They are very comfortable and I wear them for casual activities with jeans quite regularly … they ran on the large size with ample room in the toe box compared to the Lifestyle model which slopes downward onto your toes. As this runs a bit large, I have been wearing with really thick socks and have enjoyed thoroughly!

  11. Maine Says:

The quest ends… For years I have been on a quest for the perfect shoe… I am on my feet all day and do a lot of walking on the job- have tried Birks, Dansko’s, you name it- but these shoes left me energized at the end of a 14 hour day, which is a first. I have really narrow (4A) feet, so my only regret is that they are not available in a narrow size, but they worked pretty well after I padded the straps. I will buy these in other styles despite the cost- they are worth it.

  12. George, Phoenix Says:

Great Walking Sandal - I purchased these sandals after having owned a pair of the MBT Low Sport shoe for over a year. I have severe osteoarthritis in one knee. Both are outstanding products, however, the sandal seems to be more practical for everyday activities while the heavy Low Sport shoe is best suited for extended fitness walks. Even though very well constructed and padded, the sandal is lighter and its sole does not seem to be as deep or rounded as that of the shoe. This sandal fits great and provides excellent support, especially with the new model’s adjustable back strap. While not bad looking, this sandal probably will not win any fashion awards but people should be buying this product for comfort, quality, and the joint pain relief it provides.

  13. Jessica Says:

2nd pair of MBTs - For long periods of walking, I find the full MBT shoes to be better, but the sandals are great and I wear them for running errands, sometimes even at work. I usually wear a 9M, the shoes were perfect in a 40 with socks, the sandals are 39 & 2/3rds. Perfect size also.

  14. North Carolina Says:

They look weird but feel fabulous! Putting these shoes on instantly relieves the pressure in my low back (from a herniated disc). They’re fun to wear and the only shoes I want to put on anymore! I was expecting them to take time to adjust to them but it only took me a couple of days. Expensive but worth it.

  15. Goodrich Says:

My 2nd pair of MBT Men’s Kilima Shoes - I purchased my first pair of MBT sandals approx. 3 years ago. I wore them constantly, definitely feeling the results in my leg muscles. Unfortunately the right shoe started to fall apart. The sole of the shoe cracked in half and came away from the upper part of the shoe and the rubber on the toe tore away. I don’t think I was particularly abusive to this shoe; I’ve had tennis shoes last longer… I really love the MBT sandals, so I had to bite the bullet, spend the big bucks and purchase another pair. I certainly hope these last longer, I can’t afford anymore. Free Shipping

  16. Diane Says:

Mystery of the Arch Supports - I would like to add that the reason some people state this shoe has no arch support is because it doesn’t need one. The rolling of the sole, when walking, becomes its own arch support. I haven’t needed my orthodic arch supports since I started wearing MBT’s 6 months ago.

  17. Dewitt Says:

Finally…Style, Comfort and Support in a Sandal!! I have these shoes in the regular design that I wear for work and love them…I couldn’t wait for the sandal version to come out. I love these for casual wear and they are the most comfortable shoe ever. I don’t need to wear my orthodics anymore, and I know I’m getting the extra benefits of the barefoot technology that has improved my muscle tone and posture. I get a lot of compliments on them because they look good too.
