Ugly but Awesome! These are not shoes you buy for looks, although they look ok with long pants. I am telling you, these things work! 30 minutes on treadmill and you will feel it in your calves, inner and outer thighs, lower back, and abs. But the real surprise is how they work the back of the thighs! In just a few weeks on the treadmill I noticed a considerable difference in the size and shape of my thighs. As all women know, that is one tough area to work. Hurray! No more leg lifts!

I Just Wanna See What They’re Like… I ordered these with the FULL intention of trying them on, maybe wearing them around the house for a few hours and sending them back because I was SURE they were not worth the money. Well, Zappos, your gig works because I could not send them back. They are awesome. I also ordered the Sport High, which I would have kept instead if they had the same look, but they are a bit uglier to wear other than working out. I wish I could afford the casual style right now too, and then these would be the only two pairs I would ever wear! They make you stand up straight and it feels like you are walking on air. I used to go to a foot doctor, spent $850 on orthodics…I wish I had known about these first!

I love them! These shoes have the best of both worlds, looks and personality. They are very comfortable and although it took me a little bit to get used to the new rolling feeling when I step, I can feel my legs constantly trying to keep the balance so my muscles when I’m walking are constantly working harder than regular tennis shoes. I highly recommend them!

Great for people with normal feet - When I first got these shoes, I loved them and was wanting to buy three more pairs. I’m glad I held off on that because the foot pain that I had before I got the shoe did not improve and maybe got a little worse. I tend to overpronate, and these shoes did nothing to prevent that. I am in the process of buying some custom arch supports that are supposedly okay to wear with these shoes, so I am hoping that that will help. I really do like the way these shoes feel when you’re walking other that that. I just wish they made more shoe designs for people who don’t have normal feet.

MBT Sport Low - I ordered my MBT’s after reading many reviews. Our local store had a no return policy, so I ordered and saved sales tax & shipping & I knew I could return if I didn’t like them. The 1st day I wore them on the carpet for 4 hours. I was expecting my legs & feet to be very tired after reading all the reviews, but they weren’t. I wore them all day the next day with no problems. My back is feeling very good. Could be the shoes, could be the Chiropractor. I don’t know, but I do know they have not caused any back pain. I knew if I wore them when my back was already hurting, I could tell if it would be worse wearing them. It is not. I love them and they are fun. All the reviews tell how ugly they are. Obviously these people have not been wearing New Balance wide bottom shoes. They are butt ugly. I like the way these shoes look. I asked the salesperson who was wearing them about them because I liked the way they look. Our local store lost a customer & Zappos gained one simply by having such a good return policy. I love MBT Volcano Shoes. I was not about to pay this much for a pair of shoes and be told if I get them home I can’t bring them back. I tried them on with my soft inserts for size before I ordered. I usually wear a size up because of my orthopedic arch supports.

From previous experience, I went up 1/2 size, and they fit perfect. I noticed a correction in my walking and it may not be true, but I believe a bunion that has been bothering me is actually getting better. My back and hip pains are gone. I still have knee pain, but I don’t know if this shoe is going to help that. I did notice the firming that everyone talks about as well. This shoe is amazing in everyway!!

MBT review - Overall, I am very satisfied with my MBTs. They are great for walking or on my feet all day. The only time they are not comfortable is when I’m sitting or driving for a while. Standing is fine; walking is great. I feel like the muscles in my legs are getting more of a workout and getting toned. I plan to order another pair soon in another color as I wear them to work everyday and need other colors to go with lighter color pants for spring and summer. MBT Mens Volcano Shoes.

Weird but who cares - I thought for sure I was getting ripped off but after wearing these shoes for work (I’m on my feet for 10+ hours a day–Respiratory Therapist Charge Tech) I was ever-so-thankful to have spent the money! I have feet trouble and have spent hundreds of dollars on different shoes–from Danskos to Birkenstocks–these are the best I’ve found!! You will NOT regret it… I totally don’t!

Wonderful Shoe - Since I had replacement knees these shoes have made my recovery just wonderful. I can walk faster down the hospital halls now. My new knees work great with no swelling at the end of my shift. One thing I would have liked is an arch support since I have flat feet. I did have to get a half size larger. Returning them was no problem. Return policy easy to understand. The new styles out are great and I a glad that MBT understands style…thank you for inventing them. See about some arch support, ok? Great walking shoe - I purchased these sandals after having worn the sports shoes, which are great. I’ll be going on vacation soon, and I wanted a smaller shoe that would enable me to walk and stand for long periods of time without back pain. I bought the sandals slightly smaller (sz 39) than the sport Mens Volcano shoes (sz 39 2/3), which I wear with thick socks. Since the sandals are extremely adjustable, the smaller size fits fine.

Kisumu is the new version of the MBT Sandal - Ladies, I have two older pairs of the MBT sandals and the Kisumu is the “new improved” version. Not only does this fit better for feminine feet, but also the shape around the toes is more oval and flattering. I’m so relieved MBT is making more female shapes and steering away from the unisex sizes which in my opinion hinder the Ladies’ Fit. Walk On!

Nothing could be finer - I put this shoe on and just walked. No breaking in period. The look is very now. I have a Michael Kors purse that it matches perfectly. So we know for sure it’s in. Like walking on air. I would buy this shoe again if the need arose.

Gave me my life back - I have now worn these shoes for 6 months, and have nothing but rave reviews for them. Before, I walked with a painful limp, and every step was miserable (arthritis and torn tendons). My quality of life was NOT good. Then I got these shoes, and everything is different. I never had a break-in period. They took away the pain immediately, and as long as I wear them, I am pain free. If I don’t, the pain comes back in maybe half a day. The doctors tell me my foot can never be fixed, but at least I have a more normal life now. I tried 3 different sets of custom orthotics (some more expensive than these shoes) and got minimal pain relief. These are the closest thing to magic I can imagine.

Uncomfortable - I tried these shoes. I wore them for a little while in my house but I could never get the straps adjusted correctly to be comfortable. I returned them for this reason. Although my foot is not a true narrow, it is on the narrow side and I believe this is why I could not get the straps adjusted properly.

MBT’s saved my feet! Recently, I was vacationing in Washington, DC and walked all day. I had purchased expensive shoes on a friend’s recommendation to wear. Well, my feet killed me! I happened to see a store that had MBTs and since I had heard of them, decided to try. Well, I bought these sandals and came back for the tennis shoes. I have mostly worn the sandals. Take advice: Gradually get used to these shoes (they advise that). I didn’t have that luxury because I was walking everyday, but these are the best thing I’ve ever found. Also, adjust heel strap first, then toe and strap closure. I also found to leave toe and strap on the loose side. These sure put a spring in your step. Also, if you ever wear out the sole, you can send them back for “resoling” for a reasonable price. I LOVE them.

Odd Sandal, but Lots of Fun - I don’t know anything about the health benefits of this sandal, walking with the natives in Africa, or providing exercise. I do know that this sandal is lots of fun to take a walk in. It is different, almost like a woman’s platform shoes (1 and 1/2 inches high). When standing still you can rock back and forth in them because the sole arches up in the front and back. One has to learn to walk in them. Overall, not a dull sandal and lots of fun to wear out in town.
