MBT Gil Gil Shoes is ROCKING! I cannot wait for spring and will most assuredly order my MBT sandals from Zappos. My GYN and her staff will most likely be online shortly to order theirs due to your outstanding Customer Service and shipping! I did order these one-half size smaller than my regular walk-run Tennis shoe and am pleased with the fit. I would “suggest” that my other shoes “needed” more toe room because the action of walking is so different, sloppier if you will; whereas in these MBT’s the action is so crisp and clean that one’s foot is held in place and does not slosh forward! I love the feel of walking upright!
Let’s Hope They Work! They are comfortable and definitely work different muscle sets while running with them. At this point I have not used them enough to fully know whether they tone your legs more, but they seem to be doing a good job hitting different muscles than I normally use. They are not attractive but they are purposeful.
They feel like walking on trampolines - They help my back tremendously. Don’t like the look, and they make me very tall, but I love them. People try to sell these too big in stores. I found that my normal size was best. I don’t notice them exercising my legs more than other shoes. But I haven’t watched the video about how to walk with them yet.
Love em’!!! I love my new MBTs. After extensive research of the features and benefits of this shoe, I broke down and purchased them. I’ve worn them for about 2 weeks on a regular routine, as suggested, and I really feel better. My posture has improved; I walk straighter and stand taller. The shoes are much more comfortable than I thought they would be and the adjustment period is very brief. I have extremely weak ankles and I hope the long-term effects of this shoe strengthens my ankles. I really am pleased with the shoe and can’t wait until warm weather to start my regular walking regime with my new MBTs!
Great Exercise Shoe - This is my second pair of this particular shoe. They are pricey, but my first pair lasted about three times longer than other running shoes I have had. These shoes were the first pair that I could exercise in without getting shin splints. MBT Men’s Gil Gil Shoes by Swiss Masai. They do take a little getting used to because of the different shape, but once you get past that, they can’t be beat. I will definitely buy them again.
After reading previous reviews, I ordered this shoe a 1/2 size larger than normal and it fits perfect. It slips a little in the heel but I just put on thicker socks. I wish I would have gotten high style though. I don’t feel a tremendous difference in my legs when I wear these on the treadmill. Actually, no soreness at all. Overall I would recommend shoe for possible extra leg muscle work but they are too ugly to wear to the gym!
Unsure of these altogether - I had read other reviews that stated that these ran about a half size smaller than marked so I ordered a half size larger. However, I didn’t find this to be true. The laces don’t stay tight–I think I will probably have to replace them. They hurt my arches (and I don’t generally have any such problem with shoes) but I’m not sure if that’s because they’re too big. I don’t know that I’ve noticed a difference but I do notice that they do take more effort to wear. And no, they are not very attractive. I’ll keep wearing them, hoping that they do work. If I were more certain that they worked as purported, I’d buy the right size.
